Brook Tonneson Golling will be dearly missed by his family and community. Brook was born and raised in Ashland and leaves behind his wife, young son, three sisters, nephew, parents and hundreds of friends and massage clients. From a young age, Brook has found ways to give back to his community here in Ashland and globally.

I created the earth altar pictured above a few days after his passing and have printed it on cards which will be available at the gallery.

Join Earth Altars & Laura Loescher for our show in the beautiful gallery space at Ashland Natural Medicine.

About the artist and the show

Laura Loescher is an eco-artist who makes Earth Altars - impermanent art co-created with nature. A long-time artist in other mediums, she began a daily practice of creating Earth Altars in the early days of the pandemic. What started as a practice for her own healing and resiliency turned into something that could soothe and inspire others. Sometimes she creates with cultivated and wild flowers. Sometimes she picks up fallen leaves, seeds and pods and puts them together in beautiful ways.

Since November 2020 the gallery at Ashland Natural Medicine has been hosting the Resilience & Refuge Earth Altars art show. All proceeds from sales at that show went to benefit local fire relief and recovery efforts for our community’s most vulnerable families impacted by the fires.

Just as we were preparing to take down the show, a beloved member of the ANM staff - Brook Golling - lost his life in a skiing accident.

Brook loved the Earth Altars art. We are now launching a new show for the month of February - Grief & Gratitude. All profits from sales at this show will benefit the Brook Golling Memorial Fund, which will support Brook’s family.

Some of the framed pieces from the previous show remain on display, but there are some new canvas prints and greeting cards as well. Also, all the 16x20 canvases and framed photo prints are now on sale for a 50% discount. All other wall art prices have also been reduced. *If you purchase a 16x20 canvas or framed print, you also get 6 free cards of your choice - $25 value*

In addition to wall art, there is still a wide selection of greeting cards, note cards & square cards - along with a few remaining coasters for your desk or coffee table.

"Heartbreak and hope are not mutually exclusive. We can be angry and sad and filled with longing for something we cannot have, and simultaneously we can be grateful for what we’ve got — aware, for reasons we’d never choose, of what really matters and what doesn’t." -Lennon Flowers
